Description:

Search and Rescue Alberta is the provincial association for volunteer search and rescue within the province. We assist 33 search and rescue teams and 1,400+ volunteer SAR members in their efforts to provide a superior and dedicated level of service to citizens and visitors. There is no charge for search and rescue.

Our responsibility for the coordination of ground and inland water search and rescue (SAR) incidents falls under the jurisdiction of the Government of Alberta's Ministry of Public Safety and Emergency Services.
